Shannon Bellamy Obituary, HARRISBURG — Coach Shannon Bellamy is being remembered by fellow coaches, players, friends and members of the football community following his passing.
The ownership and staff of the Tri-State Titans Minor League Football team extended their condolences to Bellamy’s family, friends and former players, describing him as a fellow brother in the profession. The organization recognized Bellamy’s contributions to the football community and the relationships he built throughout his coaching career.
Tri-State Titans head coach Cortez Brown reflected on his relationship with Bellamy, recalling their time coaching together in the AFA league. Brown described Bellamy as a good friend and a great competitor, particularly during games involving Bellamy’s Harrisburg Sharks.
Brown also remembered Bellamy for the support he offered away from the field. According to Brown, Bellamy was willing to help whenever assistance was needed in the coaching profession, demonstrating a spirit of friendship and support that extended beyond their competitive relationship.
“He will greatly be missed,” Brown said while expressing his prayers and love for Bellamy’s family and former players. His remarks highlighted the respect Bellamy earned from others within the football community and the lasting relationships he formed through the sport.
Bellamy was also remembered by Carolyn Fortney, who shared that she had known him since high school. Fortney said Bellamy later became one of her sons’ coaches and a strong supporter, recalling how he consistently showed up for Elias and remained an important presence in his life.
