Richard Ryan Obituary, HANCOCK, Maine — Richard Ryan, 29, of Hancock, Maine, died Friday night, August 7, 2026, after his motorcycle was involved in a crash with an SUV on U.S. Route 1, according to Maine State Police.
Troopers responded to the reported collision at approximately 9:39 p.m. Friday on U.S. Route 1 in Hancock. The crash involved Ryan’s motorcycle and an SUV, authorities said.
Ryan suffered fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. Maine State Police identified him as a 29-year-old Hancock resident.
The driver of the SUV was not injured in the crash. Authorities have not released additional information about the driver.
Maine State Police have not yet provided details about how the collision occurred or what factors may have contributed to the crash. The circumstances surrounding the fatal motorcycle accident remain under investigation.
