The ceremony was officiated by parish priest Proto Rastko Trbuhovich, together with Proto Stevo Stojsavljevich of Hamilton, Ontario, and the late Proto Slobodan Zivadinovich, a longtime family friend of the couple.

Twelve members of the group participated in the wedding party while dressed in Šumadija Nosinje, and the bridal party reportedly included about 40 people. As a special gift to the newly married couple, the Avala folklore group also performed at their reception, making the celebration a memorable expression of Serbian culture, friendship and community.
