Molly Anne Hendry Lilliott Obituary, PERRY, Fla. — Molly Anne Hendry Lilliott, 85, of Perry, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on August 9, 2026. She was born in Palatka, Florida, on July 28, 1941, to Sidney Haven Hendry and Annie Mae Horton Hendry.
Molly was a faithful servant of the Lord who devoted much of her life to serving God and others through New Home Baptist Church. A lifelong member of the church, she served in several roles over the years, including working in the preschool department and serving as the church organist. Her dedication to the church and the people around her became an important part of her legacy.
In addition to her church service, Molly dedicated more than 30 years to working in various roles in county government. She served as Supervisor of Elections before retiring from public service. She took great pride in serving her community and was honored to have been elected to the position.
Molly’s family said her memory will be cherished by her beloved high school sweetheart and husband of 64 years, Robert “Bob” Lilliott. She is also survived by her children, Robin (Charles) Walker and Kristie (Alex) Lutz, and her granddaughter, Sydney Ann Walker, all of Perry.
She is also survived by nieces and nephews, including Jane (Lewis) Harrison of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Julia (Matt) Wester of Tallahassee, Florida; Karen Hendry; Dale Allbritton; Jesika Hewitt; and Eli Lilliott, all of Perry. Her surviving loved ones also include her bonus family, Marvin and Rhonda Brooks, their children Taylor (Will) Ohms and Kyle (Ashley) Brooks, and their grandson Carter Ohms, along with great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Molly was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Annie Mae Hendry; her siblings and their spouses, Herbert (Betty Dale) Hendry and Ima (Ralph) Richard; nephews Mark Richard and James Hendry; and her in-laws, Robert and Zelda Lilliott, and brother-in-law Eduard Lilliott Sr.
Her family also expressed gratitude to the organ donor whose selfless gift made the final 16 years of Molly’s life possible. They said the gift provided 16 additional years filled with love, memories, laughter and precious moments, and encouraged others to consider becoming organ donors so that other families may have more time with their loved ones.
Services celebrating Molly’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at New Home Baptist Church of Perry, with Bro. Dustin Logan officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, August 10, at New Home Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Perry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Florida Baptist Children’s Home, Big Bend Hospice, or a charity of choice.
