Larry Barabas Obituary, BELL COUNTY, Texas — Larry Barabas has died after authorities discovered his human remains along a rural roadway south of Holland, prompting a homicide investigation and the arrest of a family member in connection with his death.
Bell County sheriff’s deputies responded to the Pecan School Road area at approximately 5 p.m. Friday after receiving a report that led authorities to a deceased person. Investigators found human remains that had been burned and dismembered and left along the rural roadway.
Justice of the Peace Michael Tice responded to the scene and pronounced Barabas dead at approximately 7:08 p.m. Because of the condition of the remains, investigators began working to establish the victim’s identity and determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
