Kyle Lee Huffman Obituary, SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. — Kyle Lee Huffman, a longtime member of the Siloam Springs Fire Department, has died, prompting an outpouring of grief from fellow firefighters, medical professionals, friends and members of the Siloam Springs community.
The Siloam Springs Fire Department announced Huffman’s passing, describing him as one of its own and noting that he had faithfully served the department and the Siloam Springs community since joining in 2014. He served as a captain and was remembered by the department as a valued member who dedicated more than a decade to public service.
Huffman’s work extended beyond the fire department. Friends and colleagues remembered him for his involvement in emergency medical care and education. Jamie Ellis, who worked alongside Huffman as a medic and nurse, described him as an exceptionally intelligent individual and recalled that he served as a preceptor during Ellis’s training as a medic.
Huffman also contributed to medical education at Siloam Springs High School, where he participated as a guest teacher. In one shared remembrance, Ellis said Huffman helped students learn about airway management and the use of different airways, reflecting his willingness to share his knowledge and experience with others.
